The Bulldogs used a strong 4th quarter to overcome a sluggish start to beat Saints John & Paul 29-27! The Bulldogs were down the majority of the 4th quarter and couldn’t seem to find their rhythm. With 1:10 remaining Peyton Williams drilled a 3, cutting Saints John lead to 27-25. The Bulldogs forced a turnover on the ensuing possession and Drew Hlavtur converted a layup to tie the game at 27 with 35 second remaining. The Bulldogs got a stop on defense and regained possession with 17 seconds left setting up the dramatic finish. Jacob Ernst got free and floated the ball up in giving the Bulldogs a 29-27 lead with 12 seconds remaining. Ernst’s basket sealed the victory for the Bulldogs in the hostile cross town match-up. Leading the way for the Bulldogs in the scoring category were Peyton Williams 9, Jacob Ernst 7, Logan Kray 6, Drew Hlavtur 4, Brady Andrejack 2, and Loagn McCracken 1. The Bulldogs are back in action on Monday, taking on Conneaut to conclude their season!
