The Warrior Softball team will travel to Springfield Local High School tonight and tomorrow to compete in the Mahoning Valley Invitational Softball Tournament. On Wednesday, May 7, 2014 we honored our two Lady Warrior Senior softball players at Edgewood Field as we hosted the Champion Flashes. Mercedes Burns, daughter of Suzzanne and Jamie Nellis, will be a 2 year letter winner in the sport of softball. She will be continuing her softball career at Bluffton University next fall majoring
Aaron Ball, Boys Tennis Senior athlete, was honored at Senior Night vs Jefferson at the Edgewood Courts this evening. Aaron was joined by his mother Debbie and father Andy Ball. The Lady Warriors earned the #4 seed in the Division II OHSAA Softball Tournament at the draw this past weekend. With the 4 seed, in the Jefferson District, they will host the Sectional Championship game versus the winner of NDCL/Collinwood on Friday, May 16th at 4:30 at Edgewood High School. The Edgewood Warrior Baseball team got rewarded for their hard work on the diamond this spring with the #2 seed in the East Bracket of the Division II OHSAA Baseball Tournament. The Warriors will HOST the winner of Perry and Conneaut on Wednesday, May 14th at Walter Higgins Field at 4:30. Best of Luck Boys.
The Edgewood Lady Warriors and the Jefferson Lady Falcons played a meaningful game under the lights at Jefferson Little League on Saturday night. The Cancer Research game ended in a 7-0 victory for the Falcons but more importantly raised money for a great cause. Congratulations to both teams for playing in such a wonderful event.
