The Buckeye Athletic Boosters are a group of VOLUNTEERS that work closely with the Buckeye Athletic Department to find the best ways to meet the needs of ALL Student Athletes in grades 7-12 within the Buckeye Local School District. The Athletic Boosters meet once per month and all meetings are open to the public.
The Athletic Boosters are currently looking for volunteers that may be willing to step into an Executive Board position such as Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, or an At-Large position. Several of our current Executive Board Members have children that have graduated and they are willing to step down to make room for NEW members. You do NOT have to be on the Executive Board to attend a meeting or volunteer to help in concessions or at a Booster event.
Everyone is welcome and we are always looking for volunteers!
The Athletic Boosters sponsor fundraisers throughout the year to raise funds to help offset the cost of uniforms, equipment, travel expenses, awards and many other things. The Athletic Boosters run concession stands at Corlew Stadium, Higgins Field and inside Edgewood Senior High School for all JV/Varsity sporting events and some Braden Middle School events. We also run a Corporate Sponsorship program, provide scholarships and much more.
The Athletic Boosters are already working on events for the 2020-2021 school year and are looking for fresh faces and new ideas! If you or someone you know is interested in getting involved with the athletic programs at Buckeye, come to an Athletic Boosters meeting. This is a great way to get involved with activities in the district, and for those parents or grandparents of EHS and BMS student athletes to see what we can accomplish as a group.
We look forward to seeing many new faces as we gear up for another successful year for all of our student athletes. Next meeting is Monday May 4th at 6:30 pm via ZOOM digital platform. Email AD Steve Kray at email@example.com to be added to the Zoom meeting.
President, Buckeye Athletic Boosters
